Bryce Bagnall
(1961-2006)
Bryce Vineyard
Bryce Bagnall founded Bryce Vineyard in 2002. He made wine at the Carlton Winemaker Studio. Bagnall passed away at age 45 in 2006 from Lou Gehrig’s disease. He was a respected member of the Oregon wine industry. His winemaking career included working at Beaux Frères, Edna Valley, and as head winemaker at Witness Tree Vineyards from 1995 to 2004.
Out of respect, 38 wineries donated Pinot Noir grapes from the 2003 harvest to produce 572 cases of a special wine called St. Bartholomew’s, the patron saint of neurological diseases. Bryce Vineyard’s last vintage was 2008.
